Welcome to The Useful Knowledge Co. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to The Useful Knowledge Co.

We operate this website and store, including its content, printed and digital reference guides, features, tools, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). Our store is powered by Shopify.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Return Policy, describe the terms that apply when you use our Services or purchase our products.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Section 1 — Access and Accounts

You must be at least the age of majority where you reside to place an order or create an account. Minors may use the Services with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete contact, payment, billing, and shipping information.

If you create an account, you are responsible for protecting your login credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. You may not sell or transfer your account to another person.

We sell printed and digital reference guides designed to explain important topics clearly and provide practical information.

Our guides are educational resources. They do not provide personalized legal, tax, financial, investment, medical, insurance, or other professional advice. Purchasing or using a guide does not create a professional advisory relationship.

Laws, benefit programs, eligibility requirements, rates, deadlines, and other information may change. A guide reflects the information available as of its stated edition or review date and may not address every situation or exception.

Before making a decision, verify relevant information with the appropriate official source and consult a qualified professional when needed. We do not guarantee any particular financial, benefit, health, or other outcome.

We aim to describe products accurately. Printed colors and appearance may vary slightly from screen images. Product listings identify the format being purchased. Digital purchases do not include a printed guide unless expressly stated, and printed purchases do not include a digital version unless expressly stated.

We may update product descriptions, revise editions, discontinue products, or limit quantities. Changes do not remove rights associated with an existing purchase or applicable consumer protection law.

Section 3 — Orders, Returns, and Cancellations

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. We may decline or cancel an order for reasons such as unavailable inventory, payment failure, suspected fraud, or a material listing error.

An automated order acknowledgment confirms receipt of your order and does not necessarily confirm acceptance. Acceptance occurs when we confirm the order for fulfillment or deliver the digital product.

If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid for the canceled items and any associated charges that must be refunded.

Printed orders may be canceled before shipment. Digital orders cannot be canceled once the download link or file has been delivered, except as provided in our Refund & Return Policy or required by applicable law.

Returns, exchanges, and refunds are governed by our Refund & Return Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Section 4 — Prices and Billing

Prices and promotions may change. The price applicable to your purchase is the price shown at checkout when you place the order, subject to the error provisions below.

Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other mandatory charges will be disclosed before you complete your purchase. Any applicable customs or import charges will be addressed in the shipping information provided for your destination.

You agree to use a payment method you are authorized to use and to provide accurate payment information.

Promotions may have additional terms. Those terms govern the promotion if they conflict with these Terms.

Section 5 — Printed Shipping and Digital Delivery

Printed guides

Shipping options, charges, and estimated fulfillment and delivery times are provided on our website or at checkout.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly stated. Carrier delays and events outside our control may affect delivery. If fulfillment is delayed, we will provide any notices, cancellation options, and refunds required by applicable law.

If an order does not arrive or arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution. These Terms do not transfer responsibilities to you where applicable law requires us to retain them.

Digital guides

Digital guides are delivered through a download link, email, customer account, or another method described in the product listing.

Please provide an accurate email address and check your spam or junk folder if delivery does not appear in your inbox. If you cannot access your purchase, contact us for assistance.

You are responsible for having the device, software, internet access, and printing equipment needed to use the format identified in the product listing. Known compatibility requirements will be stated in the listing.

Unless the listing expressly includes ongoing updates, purchasing a guide does not include future editions, automatic revisions, or lifetime access to a hosted download link.

Section 6 — Intellectual Property and Digital License

Our original guide content, website text, graphics, images, logos, and other materials are owned by The Useful Knowledge Co. or used with permission. Applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws protect these materials.

Digital guide license

Unless a product listing or separate written agreement states otherwise, purchasing a digital guide gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Download and save the guide on devices you own or control.
• Read and use the guide for your personal reference.
• Print copies for your own personal use.

You may not share the file or download link with others, upload it to a shared drive or public website, sell copies, distribute printed copies, or use the content to create a competing product without our written permission.

For team, classroom, client, or other distribution rights, contact us about a separate license.

Printed guides and website content

Purchasing a printed guide does not transfer copyright ownership or authorize reproduction or distribution of additional copies.

Nothing in these Terms restricts fair use or other rights permitted by applicable law, including lawful resale or gifting of a purchased printed copy.

You may not use our logos or trademarks in a way that suggests our authorization, affiliation, or endorsement without permission. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Section 7 — Optional Third-Party Tools

The Services may include tools provided by third parties, such as payment processing or digital delivery tools.

Your use of those tools may be subject to the provider’s terms and privacy policies. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee the availability or performance of tools operated by third parties.

This section does not limit our obligations concerning your order or your statutory rights.

The Useful Knowledge Co. is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with The Useful Knowledge Co.. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and The Useful Knowledge Co., including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with The Useful Knowledge Co..

Shopify and service providers may also process information to operate the store, process payments, fulfill orders, deliver digital products, and provide related services. Shopify’s practices are described in its Privacy Policy.

Information may be processed in countries other than your country of residence, as described in the applicable privacy policies.

Section 11 — Reviews, Suggestions, and Feedback

If you submit a review, topic suggestion, or other feedback intended for publication or product development, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display it to operate, improve, and promote our Services.

This permission does not authorize us to publish private order details, confidential customer-service correspondence, or personal information contrary to our Privacy Policy.

You must have the right to submit your feedback. Reviews must reflect your actual experience, and any compensation or incentive must be disclosed.

We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, unrelated to the product, or infringes another person’s rights. We do not require positive reviews or prohibit honest negative reviews.

We are not required to pay for unsolicited suggestions or adopt them.
